What’s an ARC? An Advance Reader Copy.
An ARC (Advance Reader Copy) marketing campaign is an effort to gather genuine credible reviews (from experienced book reviewers) for use in publication and to increase the number of legitimate reviews. We will work with you to publish a targeted book press release that is distributed to over 20,000 media companies (see full list below) and thousands of Book Reviewers.
One of the biggest gaps between traditional publishers and self-publishers comes down to reviewer reach.
The reason why there is a 6-12 month waiting period before publishers will publish a new title is because they know how important it is to get Advance Copies of their books in the hands of reviewers before the book is published.
Why? Because reviews are vital to a successful book launch.
When you hire us to assist you with your ARC campaign, in addition to reaching out to hundreds of book reviewers, here’s what you’ll get:
Sample reviews that follow a campaign will posted on Amazon and Goodreads. You can also expect reviews from our reviewers to be posted on their various websites, facebook pages, and twitter profiles.
A special ARC edition cover and setup with a printer that allows cost effective drop shipping of review copies (and does not require an ISBN or barcode!).
Customized ARC pages that provide the following: A. Reviewer request form B. eBook fulfillment page C. Online tracker (so you can view who has requested a copy).
Access to AuthorDock to track activities, gather critical info, and build your marketing plan.
One prerequisite however is that we have a print copy (special ARC edition) that is sent to reviewers who request a copy in print (roughly half). If necessary, we can assist in producing a print-on-demand ARC edition (for an additional fee) if your book is not already in print.
